I love the Turbulent Labs headband, I'm enjoying it right now listening to my LCD-X as I write this review. It's beautiful, comfortable, and the instructions to install are very simple and straight forward! I do want to note that this headband actually allows for a gap between itself and the steel suspension band, which the stock headband did NOT do for me. Because of that, I actually needed to order and install the official LCD extended yoke rods to have a proper fit. This isn't a con as this is what makes this wonderful headband so comfortable, it's more of a knock on Audeze for providing such short rods with such a horrible stock headband. Still, I did both upgrades and I've NEVER been happier; now this headphone is as comfortable to wear as it is awesome to listen to!

One thing I wanted to mention is that the headband is actually the same length as the original Audeze headband when new. The only dimension I changed was the width to spread the weight over a larger area and make it more comfortable. The stock PU leather headband tends to stretch over time. That's why many people eventually end up with the top of their head touching the metal suspension band. To prevent that, I added an anti-stretch reinforcement layer inside my headbands so they keep their original shape and length over the years.
My guess is that your original headband had already stretched quite a bit, which is why you needed the extended yoke rods after installing mine. Sorry for the extra hassle of needing the longer rods, but luckily Audeze offers those, and am so happy to hear that the combination worked out so well for you:)

Similar to the original headband, but without the "air vents" to collect debris. I haven't felt any discomfort because of the lack of air vents either.
It's about twice as thick as the original headband, and slightly wider, so is notably comfier during long sessions.
The video on their YouTube channel is very helpful as well.

Simple to install, color was as shown, and comfortable headband! I can now wear them for hours without even noticing. One thing to note is that the band sits about 15mm below the stock steel band until the leather stretches a bit, so be prepared to pull the adjustment bars down lower than before. If you have a larger cranium this might be an issue (I speak as a big head myself).

Good eye on that detail! Our headbands are actually made to match the factory length, but we’ve built in an anti-stretch layer within the cushion to keep them from gradually lengthening over time. If you’re noticing a bigger drop compared to your old band, it’s likely because the original has already stretched with use, something that happens quite a bit ( I wanted to avoid the common issue where the stock headband eventually stretches so much that it starts touching the outer steel band). The head may sit just a touch lower than the thin stock band due to the added cushioning, but I feel it’s a worthwhile trade-off for comfort and longevity.

Gambled on this knowing it was designed for another set and wanted to change out the stock Amanda strap with this. Huge upgrade imo and very comfortable. I almost don't feel it at all. It also looks much nicer. You will have to cut it to fit and put a peg hole in it for it to work like this but it will work and is slightly oversized VS the original if you're going the slightly DIY route I went. Be careful if you do because too short and it applies more pressure while wearing.

I have had the LCD-X's for a few years. Sound is great, comfort is not. I can get a few hours before they become painful. Also the stock faux-leather headband has started to flake apart.
I got the Turbulent headband in Camel, and it is great. True all-day comfort.
