I had to replace the stock headband because it had already sagged enough to touch the metal. When I first put the 'cans on after installing this headband, I knew right then that I wouldn't have that problem anymore.
This headband's construction seems quite robust, with the leather and the plush being quite soft and comfortable and the stitching even and tight. My LCD-X has never been this comfortable to wear; I can now have them on for upwards of eight hours with no issue.

I love the Turbulent Labs headband, I'm enjoying it right now listening to my LCD-X as I write this review. It's beautiful, comfortable, and the instructions to install are very simple and straight forward! I do want to note that this headband actually allows for a gap between itself and the steel suspension band, which the stock headband did NOT do for me. Because of that, I actually needed to order and install the official LCD extended yoke rods to have a proper fit. This isn't a con as this is what makes this wonderful headband so comfortable, it's more of a knock on Audeze for providing such short rods with such a horrible stock headband. Still, I did both upgrades and I've NEVER been happier; now this headphone is as comfortable to wear as it is awesome to listen to!

Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review, and for sharing the photo too! It really means a lot.
One thing I wanted to mention is that the headband is actually the same length as the original Audeze headband when new. The only dimension I changed was the width to spread the weight over a larger area and make it more comfortable. The stock PU leather headband tends to stretch over time. That's why many people eventually end up with the top of their head touching the metal suspension band. To prevent that, I added an anti-stretch reinforcement layer inside my headbands so they keep their original shape and length over the years.
My guess is that your original headband had already stretched quite a bit, which is why you needed the extended yoke rods after installing mine. Sorry for the extra hassle of needing the longer rods, but luckily Audeze offers those, and am so happy to hear that the combination worked out so well for you:)

Similar to the original headband, but without the "air vents" to collect debris. I haven't felt any discomfort because of the lack of air vents either.
It's about twice as thick as the original headband, and slightly wider, so is notably comfier during long sessions.
The video on their YouTube channel is very helpful as well.
