Audeze LCD Leather Headband - Black

Gambled on this knowing it was designed for another set and wanted to change out the stock Amanda strap with this. Huge upgrade imo and very comfortable. I almost don't feel it at all. It also looks much nicer. You will have to cut it to fit and put a peg hole in it for it to work like this but it will work and is slightly oversized VS the original if you're going the slightly DIY route I went. Be careful if you do because too short and it applies more pressure while wearing.

Overall feels and looks very high quality

I have had the LCD-X's for a few years. Sound is great, comfort is not. I can get a few hours before they become painful. Also the stock faux-leather headband has started to flake apart.

I got the Turbulent headband in Camel, and it is great. True all-day comfort.

Jin was a pleasure to work with to accommodate my custom headband request. I opted for a stitching color change and slightly narrower width. They were lightning fast with making and shipping the strap, and arrival from Malaysia to the US was similarly speedy.

The strap itself is of very high quality, both in looks and feel. The nappa leather is soft and plush, a very inviting feel on the head while not touching the band like the stock Audeze strap does. The coffee color is warm and rich, and I'd be happy to use it on another LCD if I decide to sell the 4zs in the photo. I went up two clicks for the rods on both sides compared to stock, so keep that in mind before ordering.

The only other thing worth noting is that the strap might change how the Audeze of choice couples to your head. In the case of the 4zs, the strap causes the right cup to sit slightly looser on my head, such that it can tilt out if I tilt my head too far forward. This is a known ergonomic quirk with the magnesium models, so it's not a knock against the strap (and the aluminum models probably avoid this more easily). Nonetheless, my overall first impressions are very positive, and I hope to keep this strap around for a long time.

The headband itself is excellent: premium materials, great comfort, and perfect fit. This is exactly the quality upgrade I was hoping for. Five stars, highly recommended.

While the headband looks well made, i’m not sure about the longevity of it. Not too sure it’s really italian leather as it seems thin and the grain is not what i’d expect of fine italian leather. that said the fitment is spot on on my lcd-gx and much better than the stock headband. looks really good with the red earcups on the lcd-gx. hesitant to give it 5 stars due to the price and quality of materials. Time will tell on wear over time.
