Replacing the headband on your Beyerdynamic headphones is simple with these step-by-step instructions. All you’ll need is your new headband and a steady hand. Let’s get started!
Step 1: Remove the Old Headband
Start by gently pulling apart the snaps that secure the old headband, located on the top of the band. Once the snaps are undone, unfold both sides of the band. With both sides unfolded, the band will come free.
Step 2: Sliding in the New Headband
Hold the connecting cable away to the side where it enters the cups, keeping it clear for the headband installation. From the opposite side, slide the new headband—arched with the cushion side facing down—beneath the metal band.
Step 3: Positioning the connecting cable
Adjust the connecting cable for equal lengths on both sides, then tuck the sections that extend from the headband neatly between the metal band and the headband.
Step 4: Wrap the Headband Sides
Fold the sides of the new headband over the metal band and cable. Start with the side that has the button snap posts, then fold the side with the button snap caps on top, neatly aligning the button snaps directly over each other.
Step 5: Fasten the Snaps
With the snap buttons aligned, press them down firmly until you hear the secure snap for each one—there are four in total. Once all the snaps are securely fastened, your headband installation is complete.
You're Done! Your Beyerdynamic headphones are now refreshed with a brand-new headband, ready for your next listening session.
